KENTUCKY ASSOCIATION OF MANUFACTURERS NAMES NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTORKAM
After an extensive and deliberative search, the Kentucky Association of Manufacturers (KAM) is pleased to announce that a new Executive Director has been selected.
Lee Lingo will be taking the helm of KAM beginning on September 18, 2017. Lee comes to KAM from the Hopkins County Regional Chamber of Commerce, where he served as President & Executive Director. Lee has a passion for economic and workforce development and demonstrates the energy and vision to lead KAM into an increasing level of service to our members.
Jackie Hogan, Vice Chair, KAM Executive Board of Directors and member of the Search Committee states “Lee will serve as a change agent, both internally and externally, to better position KAM as a champion for Kentucky manufacturers. We look forward to working with him to grow and strengthen KAM’s efforts to make Kentucky the hub of manufacturing excellence in the US.”
“I am excited to come to KAM at a pivotal time in its history,” stated Lingo on his acceptance of the position. “The opportunity to work with manufacturing, education and governmental leaders to grow manufacturing is one I accept with great enthusiasm. I look forward to serving the manufacturers of Kentucky to assist them in becoming even stronger.”
Current President & CEO Greg Higdon states, “I couldn’t be more pleased with the selection of my successor to lead KAM. After 23 years of involvement with KAM, the last eight as its leader, my intent is to leave the organization in good hands for future growth.” Greg announced his pending retirement earlier this year.
Lee looks forward to seeing many of the KAM partners during Manufacturing Month in October.
