About AKA’s COVID-19 Efforts
The CARES Act provides $630K to the Advantage Kentucky Alliance (AKA) to help connect Kentucky manufacturing needs created through the COVID-19 pandemic to manufacturing solutions with the state.
These activities include performing no-cost supplier sourcing/customer searches to identify Kentucky-based manufacturing capabilities, the development of a Kentucky-based supply chain database, no-cost operational assessments to align immediate corporate/workforce needs with area resources, no-cost financial business analysis to align financial needs with resources, no-cost safety assessments to ensure you are prepared to open/reopen within COVID-19 guidelines, development of remote/virtual workshops, seminars/webinars, and producing manufacturing showcases of individual Kentucky manufacturers allowing them to better broadcast their capabilities to perspective customers.
AKA is to perform 70 supplier searches, 80 total assessments, 40 manufacturing showcases, and 18 webinars/seminars leveraging the CARES Act monies. We plan to complete by the end of the year as we want to expedite Kentucky’s immersion from the pandemic as soon as possible.
As Kentucky’s MEP, Advantage Kentucky Alliance is committed to provide assistance to manufactures throughout Kentucky to help them grow and improve. We want to be sure your manufacturing plant is getting the support and resources needed to help you manage and recover from some of the challenges you are currently facing.
One of the greatest needs we are hearing from manufacturers across the state and country is lack of supply chain resources. If you have a need for or can supply commodity and/or proprietary engineered products, we want to hear from you! Click on the button below and fill out the scouting form. Once your form is received we will conduct a no-cost cursory search and provide you with a list of potential suppliers and /or customers located in Kentucky.
Supply Chain Resources
Advantage Kentucky Alliance is committed to help rebuild our economy by providing needed tools and assistance to manufactures throughout Kentucky. Having reliable supply chain resources is essential to get businesses up and running again. In an effort to help ease supply chain disruptions to manufactures we are working hard to gather information from potential suppliers and then share our findings with Kentucky Manufactures and our National Network.
Our goal is to continually update and add to the list of needed supplies and/or suppliers. Click the button below for the current list.
