Cody Maggard joins KAM as Marketing and Communications ManagerKAM
Maggard brings diverse communications and policy experience to KAM
FRANKFORT, Ky. (July 15, 2021) – Today, the Kentucky Association of Manufacturers (KAM) announced Cody Maggard has joined its staff as Marketing and Communications Manager.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Cody to our tremendous team,” said KAM Executive Director Lee Lingo. “His background in journalism and digital communications will be a tremendous asset for helping KAM showcase the importance of manufacturing.”
A 2018 graduate of Lindsey Wilson College, Maggard served as Editor of the campus newspaper, RaiderView. He joined the campus public relations staff as a student assistant, filming and photographing various athletic and campus events, while also producing a weekly halftime report to air during the football season. He also produced digital content in the form of videography and interviews for a series of prep-basketball events to showcase top recruits from across the country.
“I am honored to join a fantastic team at KAM,” said Maggard. “The work done by KAM as a critical voice for our Commonwealth’s key industry is invaluable and I look forward to supporting our manufacturers and advancing the industry across the state.”
Most recently, Maggard served in a communications and staff role for a U.S. Congressman. There, he aided in developing and executing digital communications for constituents and media. He was also instrumental in carrying out constituent casework and acting as a liaison with various federal agencies on behalf of constituents.
Since 1911, KAM has served as the leading advocate for the manufacturing industry in the Commonwealth. Manufacturing is the economic engine of Kentucky, representing over $34 billion in annual Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and more than 250,000 employees.
