Years ago, the IMA worked with Illinois state government to get two academies off the ground. “Today, another huge step has been taken with the announcement that Illinois will allocate $24 million to establish six new Manufacturing Training Academies located on community college campuses in downstate regions.”

This is a commendable approach, and the cooperation of state government, community colleges, and the manufacturers association shows how business and government should work together.
